BEN 10/RTTS

Back to Shrines

Ben 10 is an action cartoon for boys with soft sci-fi elements about a kid who uses an alien watch to transform into a variety of alien species. Runaway to the Stars is a hard sci-fi comic about living in co-species spaces, and all the trials that come with accomodating for such a thing. These are two very different stories trying to do very different things, but I love both of them, so I combined them anyway!

This isn't really a full-on crossover, I haven't put quite that much thought into it (and most of these stories' respective worldbuilding is quite contradictory), it was more just an excuse to draw Ben as RTTS aliens.

Ben is 10 years old in this height chart. I decided to draw the aliens at a similar developmental stage, even though it contradicts the show. It's just for fun! Grandpa Max is 6 foot, for scale.

Bird Brain is a skimmer avian, mostly because I wanted him to have a tail. Tiger Horse's name is more of an easter egg than anything- in the world of RTTS, "tiger horse" is what centaurs are called in Martian English. I struggled for ages to come up with clever names for the bug ferret and scud transformations, before giving up and defaulting to bad puns.

I definetly didn't forget to draw the omnitrix on Craterpillar, it's just... on their other shoulder. And Crushstacean has it on their back.

Bug ferret hugs can fix anything :)

Silly UAF-era drawing of Tiger Horse carrying Gwen and Kevin around. At some point, I want to experiment some more with clothing for Ben's aliens, both for this crossover and the canon aliens.

The feather's on a centaur's face bristle when embarrassed or flustered, similar to blushing in humans. Since Rook has a similarly fluffy face, I thought it would be cute if he did the same thing.
