The Sushi Pack Directory

Welcome to The Sushi Pack Directory! This is a comprehensive guide to the wolves, collectibles, and life events of my current WolfQuest playthrough- along with my friend, Cap.

WolfQuest is a game that lets you live the life of a wild wolf in Yellowstone. And if you have a friend, you can work together in the 2-player co-op mode! Cap and I are on a journey to survive and thrive with our digital pups in the wilds of Yellowstone National Park.

Parents/Players

Maize

a screenshot of Maize, a blonde wolf, in WolfQuest

Maize is the wolf I play as. He doesn't have much going on, to be honest. His head probably makes a hollow noise if you knock on it. Cap thought his name was "Maze" at first.

Stats: +1 Strength, 0 Stamina, +1 Speed, -2 Health

SteveThree

a screenshot of SteveThree, a white wolf, in WolfQuest

SteveThree is the wolf played by my friend, Cap. He's named after Steve2, the wolf I always played as in earlier versions of the game, back in the 2010s. (Don't ask about Steve1, it's a sensitive subject.)

Stats: -1 Strength, +1 Stamina, +1 Speed, -1 Health

Notable Events From Before the First Generation

  • We established a territory centered on Second Meadow in Slough Creek.
  • We killed a stanger wolf (Rubber from Cutoff Pack) in a territory skirmish.

Generation 1

Dirt

screenshot of Dirt

In a past life, Dirt was snatched by an eagle. In this life, she has survived long enough to be too heavy for an eagle to carry.

Stats: -1 Strength, +1 Stamina, +1 Speed, -1 Health

Gaster

screenshot of Gaster

Much like her namesake, Gaster seemed very keen on disappearing under mysterious circumstances, never to be seen again. This didn't turn out to be quite accurate, but she did die.

Stats: -1 Strength, +1 Stamina, +2 Speed, -2 Health

Frog

screenshot of Frog

Frog is a strange one. She sometimes seems to teleport around. Not very good at following, unless you count "wandering off" as following.

Stats: -1 Strength, 0 Stamina, +1 Speed, 0 Health

SteveFour

screenshot of SteveFour

SteveFour is the runt of the litter, and heir to a growing lineage of numbered Steves. She is also notable for her incredibly dorky howl.

Stats: -2 Strength, 0 Stamina, -1 Speed, -1 Health

Notable Events of the First Generation

  • Our first den was named Sushi Boat, but was quickly abandoned due to the pups having difficulty getting inside. The next den was named Suishi Platter (sic).
  • We killed a stanger wolf (Ashley from Oxbow Pack) in a territory skirmish.
  • SteveThree, trying to hunt a bison calf, had his front leg fractured by an adult bison.
  • We failed to save Gaster from a stanger wolf attack, and she died. Twice. The first time, she was killed by a wolf numbered 1000F, but we loaded a save because the audio cue didn't play at the correct time, so we didn't know she was there. After resetting, Gaster was killed again, this time by two wolves- Saren and Soverereign from Oxbow Pack. At this point, between Gaster dying twice and Maize having a premonition of fire just before her second death, we decided it was simply Gaster's fate to die, and moved on. (Since this means we technically never met 1000F, we didn't know what pack she was from, and she was not named.)
  • Cap and Grey both got the achievement Collector's Cache (Find and bring eight unique collectible objects to the home site (all must be at home at the same time).).
  • Suishi Platter flooded, so we moved to a new den, which we named Sushi Tray.
  • SteveThree's fractured leg healed.
  • All of our pups reached fifteen pounds!
  • We moved to a rendezvous site, which we named Uhi Buffet (sic).
  • Grey got the achievement Takeout (Kill an ungulate beyond nametag distance from the homesite and bring the carcass back to a player who stayed home.).
  • We saw a stranger wolf from Junction Butte Pack for the first time, after six months game time. It was Liam, the male pack leader, who had tried to invade our territory on his own.
  • Cap and Grey both got the achievement Smorgasbord (Bring every kind of small carcass to the home site. (Elk calf, moose calf, mule deer fawn, hare, pronghorn fawn, and beaver must all be at home site at the same time.)).
  • All of our pups reached twenty-five pounds!
  • We killed two stanger wolves (Liam and Oliver from Junction Butte Pack) in a territory skirmish.
  • SteveThree, hunting an elk calf, had his front leg fractured by an adult elk. The opposite leg, this time.
  • Maize fractured his jaw fighting a bear for an elk carcass.
  • We killed a stranger wolf (Marble from Cutoff Pack) in a territory skirmish.
  • SteveThree's fractured leg healed.
  • September arrived, meaning it was time to leave the den and live a nomadic lifestyle while teaching our pups to hunt and defend our territory!
  • Grey got the achievement Favorite Forever (Stay the favorite adult of a pup through the summer, until the end of Growing Pups.).
  • Maize's fractured jaw healed.
  • We killed a dispersal wolf (Rose from Rosebud pack) in a territory skirmish.
  • Cap and Grey both unlocked the achievement Tourist (During Young Hunters, bring your entire pack to every rival pack's territory — and howling and marking together, steal a hex in each territory.).
  • We killed a stranger wolf (Saren from Oxbow Pack) in a territory skirmish.
  • We met 1000F again! As it turns out, she's the female leader of Junction Butte Pack, and she was named Charlotte.
  • We killed a stranger wolf (Benezia from Oxbow Pack) in a territory skirmish.
  • Our territory now touches all four sides of the playable area.
  • Cap and Grey both unlocked the achievement Survivors (Go through an entire game year (from Raise Pups through completion of Young Hunters) with neither player dying.).
  • Our pups are 80 pounds and have learned to hunt, meaning it's time to prepare for the next generation!

Generation 2

Whistle

screenshot of Whistle

Watch out world, Whistle is ready for any dangers that come her way.

Stats: 0 Strength, 0 Stamina, +1 Speed, -1 Health

Song

screenshot of Song

Despite her name, Song is not a very good singer, but maybe she'll improve with practice.

Stats: +1 Strength, 0 Stamina, +1 Speed, +2 Health

Casey Jones

screenshot of Casey Jones

Casey enjoys playing with Osmosis Jones. You can tell they're brothers because they have the same last name.

Stats: 0 Strength, +1 Stamina, +1 Speed, -2 Health

Osmosis Jones

screenshot of Osmosis Jones

Osmosis is lacking in loyalty, but he exceeds in enthusiasm. He's also very stupid and will probably die.

Stats: 0 Strength, 0 Stamina, +1 Speed, -1 Health

Notable Events of the Second Generation

  • We chose a new den, which we named Box.
  • We killed a stranger wolf (Charlotte from Junction Butte Pack) in a territory skirmish.
  • We took over all of Junction Butte Pack's hexes, removing them from the game.
  • Cap and Grey got the achievement 24-Hour Getaway (Spend 24 consecutive game-hours out hunting with your partner only (staying within nametag distance of each other), no NPC packmates.).
  • A new rival pack, Rose Flats Pack, appeared in the northeast.
  • Maize became Osmosis Jones' favorite parent.
  • Junction Butte Pack no longer appears on the list of rival packs.
  • Grey got the achievement Me Time (Spend 24 consecutive game-hours away from your homesite, hunting alone (beyond nametag distance), with neither your partner nor any NPC packmates.).
  • We took over all of Oxbow Pack's hexes, removing them from the game and defeating our longtime rival.
  • Cap got the achievement Me Time.
  • Box was overrun with fleas, so we moved to a new den, which we named Sushi Tupperware.
  • A new rival pack, Bobcat Rock Pack, appeared in the northwest.
  • Oxbow Pack no longer appears on the list of rival packs.
  • All of our pups reached fifteen pounds!
  • We moved to a rendezvous site, which we named Suishi Playe (sic).
  • Maize had a premonition of an eagle attack.
  • We killed a stranger wolf (Tape from Cutoff Pack) in a territory skirmish.
  • Maize had another premonition of fire.
  • Whistle became sick.
  • Together with Bobcat Rock Pack, we took over all of Cutoff Pack's hexes, removing them from the game.
  • Whistle recovered from her illness.
  • A new rival pack, Pilot Creek Pack, appeared in the northwest.
  • Cutoff Pack no longer appears on the list of rival packs. Having driven out all three of the original rival packs and taken over an entirely unnessecary majority of the map, we decided to chill out and let our territory shrink.
